For the ASB July ride organised by Phill Anderson and Andrew Chilton, it was decided that a trip towards the cooler west coast would be a good idea.
Two groups of riders set out from the meeting point in Silves and headed up into the Monchique hills, to tackle some challenging twisty roads with some tight hairpin bends and steep hills on the way to Marmelete, for a break for refreshments.
Then it was on towards the coast, via some back roads to Rogil and Aljuzer before a visit to the beach at Monte Clerigo, to arrive for a very good lunch and a return visit to Restaurant Fonte do Vale.
The 24 riders taking part appreciated the cooler riding conditions of the west coast, which were about 10 degrees cooler than the central Algarve with a pleasant breeze.
Leaders Andrew and Phill were assisted by Yves Breyer and David Ryan.
Another great day out on the roads with some great views all the way!
